Welcome!

You must be registered and logged in to view the entire site.

Regular classroom teachers or community educators interested in incorporating or enhancing the environmental education into their units, can invite a guest “Resource Teacher” to come in and teach. The Resource Teachers are paid by the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) and are trained in K-12 natural resource education curricula spanning various subject areas – especially (but not limited to) science, social studies and language arts.

The regular classroom teacher may choose to be present or absent when the Resource Teacher comes in.  If the classroom teacher will be absent, a school district substitute teacher may need to be hired by the school district if the Resource Teacher is not licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Your school or organization must be within the Rice Creek Watershed District boundaries and have turned in a signed agreement in order to participate in this program.
